East Cheshire Harriers & Tameside Athletics Club – Cross Country Grand Prix 2021

Please note details for the 2021 East Cheshire Harriers Primary Schools Cross Country Grand Prix.

DATES:              Saturday 6th November, Saturday 13th November, Saturday 20th November

TIME:                  Registration – 9.30am 

                            First Race – 10 am

VENUE:              East Cheshire Harriers and Tameside Athletic Club, Richmond Street Athletics Stadium, Richmond Street, Ashton-under-Lyne, OL7 9HG

 COST:                £30 per school (Cheques made payable to Tameside Athletics Development Group – NOT TAMESIDE SPORTS TRUST).

If schools don’t wish to enter but individuals from within the school do, there will be a £2 charge per race on the race day.

 AGE GROUPS: U 9 girls and boys – over 2 laps (1870 meters)

                             U11 girls and boys – over 2 laps (1870 meters)

The race will give children the opportunity, many of them their first, to take part in Cross Country competition. The event is a good way for your school to prepare for the Cross Country Championships which will take place in January 2022 on the same course.

–       Registration takes place from 9.30am

–       with the first race (years 3 / 4 girls) starting at 10am

–       this will be followed by year 3 / 4 boys

–       year 5 / 6 girls

–       and the last race being the year 5 / 6 boys

You may bring as many children as you like, but you need at least 4 to finish a scoring team,  ( you can still run if you don’t have 4).
