Joining the Club
If you are interested in becoming a member of ECH or you know somebody wants to the first step is easy. Feel free to surf our web site and get as much information as you wish.
Secondly we invite you to contact the club either in person by email firstname.lastname@example.org or telephone 0161 330 4602 we need to know what aspect of athletics you are interested in so we can introduce you to the appropriate coach. Sorry but we cannot take children under 8 years of age.
Lastly come and have a go at a taster session join a group for the night and see what we do. We accept athletes who have little or no experience and athletes with disabilities are also very welcome.
Main club evenings are (Tuesdays and Thursdays) from 7pm-8pm for seniors & 6pm -6.50pm for under 11′s but training is not restricted to those nights. Some groups get together at weekends or during the week. Training for most field events (Jumping & Throwing) are on Monday and Wednesdays from 6pm onwards.
Membership forms can be obtained from behind the bar and the fees for the year are shown below.
The subscriptions shall be as follows as at 1st January 2018:
£95.00 Senior/ Second Claim Members (male and female over the age of 18 years and under the age of 65 years on 1st January).
£74.00 Senior/ Second Claim Members over 65 years (male and female on 1st January).
£58.00 Senior Students/ Disabled
£48.00 Students 16-18 years (school years 12 and 13)
£43.00 Under 16 years (up to and including school year 11
£25.00 Social Members.
£131.00 Family Membership.
EVERYONE OVER 11 YEARS OLD WHO INTENDS TO COMPETE/RACE MUST PAY THE ENGLAND ATHLETICS (EA) FEE OF £15 IN ADDITION TO CLUB FEES
FAMILY MEMBERS OVER 11 YEARS OLD WHO INTEND TO COMPETE/RACE EACH PAY EA FEE OF £15 (UNDER-11s DO NOT PAY EA FEE)
ANNUAL SUBSCRIPTIONS ARE DUE ON 1st JANUARY
25% SUPPLEMENT INCURRED IF NOT PAID BY 28th FEBRUARY
MEMBERS JOINING MID-YEAR ARE CHARGED PRO-RATA
Please note if you decide not to continue your membership with the club or will be relocating, university or work commitments or have a long term injury which prevents you competing or training etc please inform the club in writing or email. Your membership can be suspended until you are ready to rejoin. If you leave the club and don’t inform us you may be prevented from joining any other athletics club until all outstanding subs have been paid.
