Directions

We are situated in Richmond Street, Ashton -under-Lyne, Tameside, approximately 5 miles from Oldham, 10 miles from Stockport and 9 miles from Manchester (use links below for exact position). The club’s postcode is OL7 9HG.

From the north: Take M62 junction with the M66/M60. Follow signs to Ashton-under-Lyne, Junction 23. Turn left on to the A635, continue to the roundabout with St Peters Church in the middle. Keep in the left hand lane, and bear left into the one way system.
At the mini roundabout go straight across. You are now on Richmond Street. Continue for
approximately half a mile through one set of lights and you will see the club and track on the left.

From Manchester: Follow the A662 through Clayton and Droylsden (or A635 through Openshaw and Fairfield). These two roads join at the Snipe Retail Park. Fork left onto Lord Sheldon Way and go straight through two sets of traffic lights. At the third set turn left onto Richmond Street. Continue for approximately 500 metres and you will see the club on the left.

 from the West:

M60 to junction 23. Come off bearing left making sure you are in the
lane marked straight on at the lights (there are two to the right and two to the left). Follow this
road, which becomes Sheldon Way, until you reach a crossroads with lights. On your left is
Ashton Cricket Club, on the right a shopping complex and on the other side of the lights Sainsburys
and Ikea. Stay in the left lane and turn left on to Richmond Street. The track is on your left and the
car/coach park entrance is at the end of the hedge.
Suggested addition from the East:
M60 junction 23. Get in the lanes bearing right on to the A635.
At the second set of lights (a crossroads) get into the right turning lane. You are now on Sheldon Way and follow
as from the West. This is the best way for coaches.

From the east: Leave the Woodhead Pass (A628) or the Snake Pass (A57) at the Hollingworth dual carriage way. Follow the signs to Stalybridge and Ashton on the A6018. Keep on this road to Ashton-under-Lyne which becomes a dual carriageway after the first big roundabout. Keep in the right hand lane through the next roundabout (Asda) and
at the lights at St. Peter’s Church roundabout. Follow the road until the next set of lights (Police Station facing). Go in the left hand laneand bear left into the one way system. At the mini roundabout go straight across. You are now on Richmond Street. Continue for approximately half a mile through one set of lights and you will see the club and track on the left.
