English Schools Track & Field Championships – 8th – 10th July

Huge congratulations to Lily Murphy, Emilia Platt and Emily Bowker representing Greater Manchester at the English Schools finals this weekend. All 3 should be really proud of their achievements and the strict criteria to even make it to these finals is a fantastic achievement in itself. Emily finished 6th place in the heats of the junior girls 800m on Friday and then helped the 4x100m junior girls to a fine 6th place finish on Saturday. Emilia contested the senior girls 3000m where she finished a credible 13th place with a new PB and still another year to go in the age group. Lily competed across both days in the inter girls 100m and 4x100m relay. Lily navigated well through the heats and semis and came away with a well deserved bronze medal in Saturday’s final. Well done from all at ECH. Tonight I’m one proud coach
