Team Results Primary Schools GPXC 2015
2008 – 2015 analysis

Congratulations to all who took part making this years series the best to date, over the three matches we had a total of 806 finishers topping the previous best in Olympic year 2012.

Look forward to seeing you all at the relays on the 6th February 2016, details will be circulated in the New Year.

Report from race 2 (7/11/2015):

Excellent turn out on a difficult day for all, we still had over 250 finishers.

In the Under 9 Boys & U11 Girls Teams it’s still all to play for. U9 Girls ( St Mary’s) & U11 Boys ( Hurst Knoll) look well placed but can’t rest on their laurels, they will still need to have a good finish at the final fixture.
In organising the Primary Schools XC now for over 10 yrs, the best year we had for finishers was just over 750 in 2012 Olympic Year. We are well placed to exceed that this year so come on motivate your troops and let’s show them that the kids of Tameside can buck the obesity/ participation statistics.
Hope to see plenty of you for the final fixture on Saturday 21/11/15.

As I am sure many of you are aware, East Cheshire Harriers & Tameside Athletics Club has for many years now hosted a series of cross country races through the winter months which has been well attend by schools across Tameside. The races give children the opportunity, many of them their first, to take part in cross county competitions. The events are a good way for your school to prepare for the cross country championships which take place in February and are again hosted by East Cheshire Harriers & Tameside Athletics Club.

Registration takes place from 9.30am with the first race (years 3/4 boys) starting at 10am, this will be followed by year 3/4 girls, year 5/6 boys and the last race being the year 5/6 girls. As in previous years, year 3/4s will do 1 lap and year 5/6s doing 2.

You can bring as many children as you like but you need at least 4 to finish a scoring team (you can still run if you don’t have 4).

To confirm your entry please just email me at Saulgallagher@hotmail.com then bring payment on the day.

Cheques made payable to Tameside Athletics Development Group.

We look forward to seeing you in the near future.

Yours sincerely
