It was the annual Great Manchester Run this weekend, with consists of a junior race, 10K and Half Marathon for athletes to take part in. There were some excellent performances and results from ECH athletes.
In the junior races, 11 was the lucky number. James Harney, Bobby Burton and Aliesha Smith had brilliant runs to all finish in 11th place in their age categories in times of 8.28, 9.27 and 10.07 respectively. Oliver Walker and Abbie Hirst also performed well in 29th and 32nd place respectively with times of 10.20 and 12.39.
In the 10k race, Darren Smith ran superbly to run a new PB time of 37.40 finishing in 148th place. James Hartshorne also ran a personal best time of 40.54 coming home in 347th position. Andrew Cole, Janine Ridgard and Lisa Kennedy also performed well with times of 45.21, 52.05 and 1.02.26 respectively.
