Sunday 23rd May – Stockport (U11 & U13’s only)

Well done to all ECH under 11 and under 13 athletes who made the short trip to Stockport to take part in the first match of the series. There were so many amazing performances on the day (full results below) and the team finished a brilliant 2nd place overall with 157 points just behind Stockport Harriers who won with 179 points. Other teams in the league consist of Bury AC, Manchester Harriers, Trafford AC, Warrington AC and Salford Met AC.

Thanks to team manager Bethany McManus for her efforts organising the team and to all ECH coaches, officials, parents etc. who helped support on the day (picture of the team setting up camp!)

Sunday 20th June – Trafford (U15 & U17’s only)

The second match was for Under 15 & Under 17 athletes at Trafford. Well done to all ECH athletes who took part on the day. The team finished 2nd overall out of 7 teams with a total of 289 points.

Excellent winning performances came from Joe Harney (U15 Javelin B – 24.92), Ethan Sykes (U15 800m A – 2.13.5), Lily Murphy (U17 100m A – 12.2), Katie Grafton (U17 100m B – 13.0), Amy Starkey (U15 Javelin A – 23.50), Emily Bowker (U15 100m A – 13.6 & 800m A – 2.20),

Saturday 24th July – East Cheshire

A great turnout out in the third match at ECH made for a winning team performance out of 7 teams with a massive 497 total points being gained. All age groups were taking part with Covid restrictions being lifted by this date.

There were many outstanding performances (too many to mention), see below link for the full results. A big thanks to Bethany McManus for managing the team and all helpers on the day who put on an amazing event. On to the final match in Bury on 29th August!
