Our very own Black Knight Charge 6 mile trail race and 2 mile junior race took place on Wednesday 18th July, with excellent numbers taking part with over 130 finishing the senior race and over 50 finishing the junior race.
The overall winner of the senior race was ex-East Cheshire athlete Gavin Hill coming home in 34.32, closely followed by East Cheshire’s Joe Hudak in 2nd place with 34.44. Third place went to Trafford’s Cynog Williams with a time of 36.50. East Cheshire’s Hayley Simpson won the senior women’s race with a great time 43.15, 2nd place went to Jessica Cope from Team Tri Guru in 44.24 and 3rd place was East Cheshire’s Bethany McManus with 45.38. East Cheshire managed to win both the team events also.
In the 2 mile junior race the eventual winner was Joe Bentall from Trafford AC in 11.17, closely followed by his team mate Theo Treacher in 11.22 and 3rd went to East Cheshire’s Greg Dari in 11.35. A fantastic turnout from ECH juniors, most in the photo inset!
