Black Knight Charge 2015

Our annual Black Knight Charge race took place on Wednesday 22nd July. The race consists of 6 miles in the scenic Daisy Nook, including hills, undulating paths/steps and a nice run down the canal towpath.

There was a great turnout with 186 finishers, with plenty of green and gold vests of East Cheshire. East Cheshire won both the men’s and women’s team event with great runs from Joe Hudak 3rd, Luke Piper 4th, Tom McGuinness 5th, Barry Hirst 9th and for the women Holly Teague 3rd, Janine Ridgard 7th, Michelle Vaughan 8th and Hayley Simpson 11th.

The overall winner was Sale’s Matt Bond with a very quick time of 31.52, with ex-East Cheshire athlete Andi Jones 2nd in 33.10. The women’s overall winner was Sarah Hudak of Trafford in 40.13 with Zara Blower from Leaminton in 2nd in 42.05.
