National Primary & Year 7 Cross Country Championships 2019

The National Primary and Year 7 Cross Country Championships took place at Prestwold Hall in Leicester on Saturday 23rd March. There were many ECH juniors taking part in this high quality event.

A great performance came in the year 6 girls race with Emily Bowker (pictured) having an amazing run to storm home in 4th place, our highest finisher on the day. Emily was followed home by Darcy Slattery 119th, Harri Fleet 275th and Emily James 326th. Meadow Wight was first home in the year 5 girls race in 147th followed by Isla Herring 152nd, Ava Royle 221st, Anna Rooke 245th and Amelia Jones 285th. Alfie Manser had a strong run to finish in 83rd position with teammate Marshall Fleet finishing in 192nd place in the year 5 boys race. In the year 6 boys race Alfie Bundy was first back in 147th with teammates Bobby Burton 158th and Joseph Lutman 254th also performing well. Maria Rooke was our only representative in the year 7 girls race running well to finish in 166th position as was Cole Wright in the year 7 boys race coming home in 146th place.
