Mike Coogan has been competing in Ancona, Italy this weekend representing his country Great Britain & N Ireland at the European Masters Indoor Track & Field Championships. Mike competed in his main event the 400m in his age category Male 40.
Mike went in heat 6 yesterday morning comfortably winning is heat in 54.44, progressing in to the semi-final. Mike competed again later on in the evening winning his semi-final in an impressive 51.90, progressing him through the final on Sunday.
Mike ran in the final this morning and went in lane 6. Mike had a fantastic run with a new 400m indoor personal best of 50.44 which was good enough for the GOLD medal. A fantastic achievement Mike and well deserved after all the hard work he has put in. Mike Coogan – European Champion has a nice ring to it…
