Mad Hatter 5 mile trail race – 9th May 2018 – Reddish Vale, Stockport

Well done to the three East Cheshire athletes who took to the undulating 5 mile race, with Gavin Browne finishing 2nd overall in 29.48, Chris Swire 15th in 32.55 and winning his vet 50 category and Angela Oldham 54th in 37.58 and winning her vet 65 category.

Stride Through The Woods 5K – 16th May 2018 – Hyde

Well done all ECH juniors who took part in the 1.3K race with Darcy Slattery winning overall in 4.50 in a close race winning by 1 second! Cole Wright won the boys race with a time of 5.02, see full results below.

Another win for ECH in the senior race with Joe Hudak winning the race in 17.31. Tim Greenald was 6th in 19.22 (1st vet 45), Mike Stansfield 7th in 19.23 (1st Vet 40), Alan Kennedy 17th in 21.08 (1st vet 55) and Angela Oldham finished 43rd in 23.46 (1st Lady 65).

Great Manchester 10k, Half Marathon & Junior run – 19th & 20th May 2018 – Manchester

Our junior athletes did extremely well in the Junior Great Manchester run with Megan Lewis and Matilda Byrnes finishing 3rd in their age categories. Other good performances from Darcy Slattery 4th, Madeline Stout 8th, Aliesha Smith 19th, Zach Conboy 36th and Abbie Hirst 38th. See photo inset of some of the athletes who took part. Well done to the 5 finishers from ECH in the 10K with Darren Smith 146th in 39.17, Chris Swire 157th in 39.35, James Hartshorne 535th in 44.12, Andrew Cole 1862nd in 50.10 and Gary Coxon 1909 in 50.19. A good run from John Cripps in the half marathon coming home in 1795th overall in 2.00.40.
